Happy Easter! So, as I mentioned last time, I made the treats for my kids baskets this year, at least the edible treats anyway. I'm going to try and plan better next year so i can make the other stuff for them too. Anyway, I didn't make a ton of different goodies, just a few easy things because i don't want them to have a ton of sugar anyway.
Here's their baskets...

All of the other stuff that I didn't make I got at the dollar store, so these were not expensive at all. Included in each was a giant thing of bubbles, a coloring book, a puzzle, a glow stick, and their sweets that I made. Here's a closer look at those...

There's peanut butter easter eggs, jellybean bark, chocolate covered pretzel rods, and I also made sugar cookies that I just decorated with sprinkles because by the time they were done it was like 1:00 in the morning and I did not feel like icing them.
For dinner I'm making juicy roast chicken, onion tart, and just a basic salad. Dessert will pretty much be leftover candy. So all in all a nice holiday without much planning, I'm really hoping to do more next year. I like doing this kind of stuff for my kids to build nice traditions and memories that they'll remember. Holidays with traditions are big to me!! Anyway, hope you're all having a fantastic Easter!! I would love to know what you made for today or what traditions you have!

I made nothing. And I bought all of the treats for Isabella's Easter basket. OOOooo! And she got a trike! Cause her birthday is after summer, so it didn't make any sense to get it for her for her birthday. Soooo yeah. Oh, but we did look for Easter eggs, which she absolutely loves!!! :)
