I have never had pad thai. I always hear people saying how good it is, then i happened to find a couple recipes and kinda combined the two. Anyway, this pad thai uses Top Ramen noodles and is super easy and delicious. Now that I've had it I think I need to try it at a restaurant, but then again it's so awesome and easy to make at hone why would I?? And just a note, I'm sure this is not authentic pad thai (especially since I use ramen noodles), but it's freakin' good!
Alright lets get to it...here's what you'll need...
3 pkgs. Top Ramen (doesn't matter what flavor, we're only using the noodles)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup (2 inch) green onion pieces
8 oz shrimp, chicken, pork, tofu, or other veggies
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup fresh bean sprouts
1/4 cup chopped peanuts
3 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil
Cook noodles, drain. Combine sugar, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, and chili garlic sauce in a small bowl. Heat large skillet or wok over medium high heat and add oil. Add onion pieces, meat or veggies, and garlic. Cook 2 minutes or until meat is almost done. Add noodles and sauce. Cook til meat is fully cooked. Top each serving of noodles with bean sprouts, peanuts, and basil. Enjoy!
I made mine with shrimp, but I think next time I'm just going to stick with chicken or veggies. I'd like to do mushrooms, carrots, and snow peas. The shrimp was good, but I've just become weird with shrimp. I think it started after I watched that movie District 9. I'm a weirdo. Anyway, this was delicious and you should try it!

I'm so glad you are on a roll again with the recipes. This one looks good. (BTW, I still use your method for cleaning out the microwave and have passed it on to several other people). :-)
I love that you have an issue with shrimp because of District 9. I want to point and laugh at you. ;)
